Prolotherapy

Prolotherapy, also called proliferation therapy is an injection-based treatment used in chronic musculoskeletal conditions. It involves injecting an irritant solution (usually glucose) onto a ligament to reduce pain by strengthening of the ligament. 

The irritant creates an inflammatory response promoting collagen production and thus healing of the ligament.
